利休箸

利休箸(RIKYUHASHI)
Smoky Blue / Silver Gray / White / Smokey Ash

Wide-center chopsticks where both ends are thin so either can be used for eating.
This kind of chopstick was devised by Sen no Rikyu during the Azuchi-Momoyama period (1568-1603) for use in tea ceremonies or when welcoming an important guest at home.
These chopsticks carry the meaning of a feast shared with the divine-both ends can be used for eating,so one side is for man, the other for the deities.
